At a young age, Yiğit Karagöz was influenced greatly by his elder brothers' comic books and skateboarding graphics, leading him later to become interested in music and creativity, ending up in him now producing graphic design and illustration work. His style strongly includes using large amounts of colour and playful imagery. Other than this he also uses images and ideas from everyday life. To this day his illustrations have been featured in the magazines Bant and Trendsetter. Yiğit has also taken part in various graphic design, motion graphics and art installation projects. Still a graphic design student at the Anadolu University, Yiğit also benefits from his studies at the Belgium Hogeschool in Gent. For those of you in Belgium, you can see his work in the Membership exhibition at the Espace Ladda Gallery in Gent and also the 2009 Printed Art Biennali in Saint Niklaas. As for you in Istanbul, catch his work at Mtaär gallery, where Yiğit among many others take place in Mtaär's first exhibition, "Yerel İllüstratörler".
