COCA-COLA DOLAN-BAK

As part of Tünel Fest, an event planned to kick-start Istanbul Jazz Festival 2010, the Tarık Zafer Tunaya Cultural Center in Tünel was the site for the Coca-Cola “Dolan-Bak” installation, designed and curated by Banané. The installation consisted of objects and installations built from Coca-Cola crates and cans as a way of broadcasting the importance of recycling. Artists taking part in the event included Rokkas vs Sukkas and Dünya Atay, although the aim of the event was also to encourage interactivity, with visitors also taking part in the creation of the installation. The site provided a relaxing lounge area amidst the events held throughout Tünel Fest, and the day was brought to an end with a party at Lokal on Tünel Square.

MILLER FRESHTIVAL

Banané Mag curated Miller Freshtival 2, a music and arts festival held on the 29th of May 2010. The collaboration presented work by Dünya Atay, İmge Özbilge, Rokkas vs Sukkas, Tamer Köşeli, Necmi Mutlu and Valerija Ilchuk in the form of illustration, graphic design, sculptures and interactive installations.
